Another enjoyable, if not totally successful day, contesting the MacAndrew Brook Memorial Shield at Harbord BC today. Congratulations to Dave Bremner & Noel Benson as well as Graham Berry & Kevin Herbert on making the Zone 10 finals in their respective divisions – Senior Pairs & President Reserves Pairs.

Unfortunately the final proved a bridge too far with both teams losing after a brave battle.

ZONE 10 STATE FOURS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Paul Bryan and his team of Kyle Martinez, Darren Garton & Kevin Henry on reaching the Final of their Section. After 3 good wins over the weekend, the final was played against Denistone Sports. Unfortunately Denistone won the final by a single shot. In Paul’s own words “….just got beaten by a better team – which included a 12 year old ( Jack McShane) as their their 3rd !!!”

A new method of determining the Player & Rookie of the Year has been approved by the Bowls Management Committee. Criteria and Leader Board can be found under

Player Of The Year in the Menu Bar

Player of the Year
Winner to be determined by the highest ranked PLAYER after allocation of points utilizing the criteria as displayed.

Rookie of The Year

Winner to be determined by the highest ranked ROOKIE after allocation of points utilizing the criteria as displayed.

The definition of a Rookie is based on the definition provided by RNSWBA to determine eligibility for State Rookie events each year.

The Leader Board will be updated at the completion of each eligible event.
